This is where I write a cliche blog post about how I haven’t blogged in a long time. It’s where I also say that I’m going to be doing more on here in the next few weeks. Both of those things are true, but I figured it was good to go ahead and get it out of the way, just so there’s a mutual understanding between us. In keeping with blogging cliches, here are what some of my next few posts are going to be about:

1. Why Everything Is Awful, Everywhere

2. How that One Thing Is Not as Good as it Used to Be, Back Then

3. 10 Tips for Talking a Big Game in Tip Posts

4. A Post About My New Hobby, Amateur Photography

5. Everyone Is Wrong About x Subject

6. My Dog, the Pet Christ

7. The Benefits of Paranormal Romance in a Healthy Relationship

8. Things I Eat for Breakfast

9. My Real Life Should Have Been 30 Years Ago

10. The Art of Waiting for Things to Fall in Your Lap

I think we’re in for some good times. Also, that list is lies, but I wish they were true.

The last couple of months have been dominated by a push on doing the whole novel thing, so I think I can be at least partially excused. Still, I’m trying to find a balance in my life where I can maintain these blogs and do some fiction, so we’ll see if I can tweak it a bit.

The big time sucker is that I finished Seven Sons (finally!) in October and then turned around like a moron and started National Novel Writing Month (or NaNoWriMo, if you like goofy abbreviations) as a bit of a palette cleanser.

Either that or I like torture. Jury’s still out on that one.
